Suspension & Brakes
Most forms of motorsports require upgraded configurations of brakes and suspension components. Racing at higher speeds demands hard braking power, stability and control.

Brakes
Performance driving will increase brake temperatures and at times, decrease braking power. There are multiple ways to combat these problems which include, upgrading brake pads, rotors, brake lines and fluid. Brake system configurations can also be upgraded to improve performance. Configuration changes are usually in the form of larger diameter rotors and calipers, which result in an increased friction surface area. Larger calipers often feature additional pistons to achieve even pressure on the brake pad maximizing pad performance. Multiple piston calipers can improve pedal feel and decrease brake operating temperatures. Brake kits for most vehicles are available for different performance applications and should only be installed by professionals.

Suspension
Handling performance of any vehicle is determined by the suspension components and setup. Most race sanctioning bodies have guidelines or rules to which determines suspension design. Performance suspension components include, springs, shocks, sway bars, bushings, control arms and adjustable mounting points. These items work interdependently to create the overall handling characteristics of a vehicle. To achieve maximum performance and the desired characteristics selection, proper installation and setup of all components is critical.
